About one-in-seven taxpayers gets their return done this week.
If you've been in the business for 10 minutes you know that this is the case. Taxes are painful, psychologically, so it makes sense that people would wait until the last minute.
Trouble is that this creates an obvious end-of-season crunch. Our senior partner, Greg, got so tired of it year-after-year, that now he schedules his first golf outing of the year on the tax filing deadline to get out of the office. The message: if it's not here by now, it can wait.
He's golfing, right now, by the way.
